Everything old is new again.
God help them if the reboot isn't "more like the video games."
Yeah, I hope they make them more horror this time, and include the gothic settings from the first game.
Or make it more in the same style as the latest game, which had some Texas Chainsaw/Evil Dead styled moments.
The Milla movies was stupid as fuck, but still fun brain dead entertainment.
But the last one felt like a horrible Uwe Boll movie, with the most annoying editing and shaky cam ever put on film...
Too bad that rumor about a Netflix series, was fake
James Wan to produce.
Well, with Wan on board, I hope it means there will be more focus on horror.
Wouldn't mind if he directed the movie.
Tonally, it doesn't look much different from the previous film series, but looks fun. I'm game.
Actually, it looks far closer to the source, but we’ll see.
The trend of trailers taking a nostalgic pop song and making it creepy needs to stop.
Looks descent enough.
I was pleasantly suprised, it didn't look fantastic but better than anything Anderson was pumping out.
It seemed to be faithful to the games, so I will give it a watch.
The originals are so braindead I can never remember anything about the individual ones after I’ve seen them. For instance, I know one takes place in Vegas, but I couldn’t tell you which one other than I know it wasn’t one of the first two. I also don’t even know if I saw the last one in the franchise. I don’t think I have, but I’d have to watch it (again?) to be positive of that.
They really got the locations VERY close to the games, especially RE2. That is what I wanted from the original films. Hope it delivers the goods.
And yeah, I wish they stopped using annoying songs in trailers. Who thought this was a good choice for the trailer of a horror movie??
The trailer editor is hard of hearing. They were told to use creepy music, but they heard crappy instead. Four Non Blondes? You can’t get much crappier than that.
It's a pretty great song actually. Odd for this trailer but a bagger I rather love.
I swear this was going to be a Netflix series, so the fact that this is a film from Sony is surprising. It kind of looks like a high budget TV show so I'm not sure what to expect. I love that it looks closer to the games but fingers and toes crossed it's actually a good movie. Sony's name does not instil confidence, that's for sure. We'll see. I want this to be good.
There IS a Netflix series. It’s called Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.
Yeah I saw that was out and am curious to watch it but I thought they were ding something in live action too. I don't remember hearing anything about a new live action movie being made till this trailer dropped.
The live action show is coming soon.
Well there you go. Another surprise lol.
There are a bunch of Resident Evil TV shows coming out. I'll probably get to all of them next year during the October month. I still haven't seen the first movie series yet. I thought I talked about it either here or on the Horror.com forum. I saw some of the first movie. I remember it wasn't like the original game that much. I did like this trailer to the 3D one. I'm really looking forward to getting a 3D setup to see it. But I'm also one of the few people that like Ultraviolet and this trailer seems a bit like a horror version of that.
I checked out parts of that new trailer. It does look close to the games which is good. The original Resident Evil is old school horror. Like Night of the Living Dead in the house. Parts of the house design in the original Resident Evil are straight out of the 1990 remake.
