I wouldn't be surprised if the film negative is long gone. Which is probably why nobody has a clue who owns the rights. If nobody is claiming ownership then the film might be lost in limbo.

There is a DVD-R of this on iOffer that's in spectacular quality - the opening titles are even in the correct aspect ratio (1.85:1) but unfortunately the rest of the movie is in 4:3, anyway it's as good as it gets for now. There is apparently a letterboxed VHS release out there somewhere, I've seen screenshots from it but I can't for the life of me figure out which release it is.

Just sold my Forum Home Video release of this on eBay for $160. I didn't realize it was worth this much to folks - why? Am I missing something? I own the Blu complete with slipcover.

It's still a pretty rare tape and sought after amongst VHS collectors, even with the Blu-ray, the price actually went up in the past couple years for the VHS.

It's crazy, I remember buying a pre-cert copy of the Mad Butcher for 50p, I watched it and then was gonna give it back to charity shop as it was already on DVD, but I thought I'd stick it on ebay and see what happened, hoping to get a couple of quid, in the end it went for £105.00!!! I was not expecting that!!!

I pretty much buy any pre-cert I find now just incase it's another gem!
