What's everyone think about the news that SyFy ordered a Day Of The Dead TV show to series. It's going to be ten episodes. I always loved the movie. Romero estate not supporting it but I could care less as long as it is good. I got burnt out on Walking Dead comics and TV show. Turns out a zombie story that never ends isn't the great thing after all. Anyway, I'm going to check this show out but I'm not expecting much.

I'd rather Romero's original script for Day was made. Oh well.

Should be interesting. One of the writers career lists cartoons and Disney/Nickelodeon shows.

The plot I see, has zero to do with Day of the Day film. So right there, that's strike one.

    Another Zombie show?

You know what would be great? If the fucking Zombie genre disappeared for 10-15 years.
Since the Dawn remake in 2004, it has been nonstop zombie films and shows.
It's the same damn story over and over again.

    Here's what I think:

Syfy will waste money to do ANOTHER show....but when it comes to giving Happy! one more season with a proper conclusion they won't budge? They'll waste the money on a new series but not Happy! ?

I rather they use the money for THAT!

And if anyone feels the same, do what I'm doing; boycott Syfy indefinitely until they or someone else brings the show back and please join our cause while you're at it.

    Happy WILL soar again.

Well that isn't happening with them doing the new Child's Play show. But if that stinks then sure lol.

I definitely don't care about another zombie show. They're way too dull most of the time. I don't care about that shit.

Official trailer to the new series. Starts in October:

Slow moving zombies. I'm in. Yes, I took a dig at it months before, but I liked Z Nation. So I'll give this a shot.

I listened to a podcast with Steven Kostanski a while back, the director of Leprechaun Returns and Psycho Goreman, and he talked about directing this. Looks like he did the first four episodes. I thought Leprechaun Returns was a hoot, so it should be fun.

Also, the last three episodes were directed by Jem Garrard, who directed one of the most wildly entertaining SyFy Original Movies ever Killer High.

Even though the premiere date isn't technically until Friday, October 15th, it looks like SyFy and USA will both be doing a special airing of the Day Of The Dead pilot episode on Tuesday night at 11PM immediately following the Chucky premiere.

Which works for me, because the 15th is way too stacked with new horror releases already.
