I don't really care about Schizoid or Helen. I only want to see the other 3 films in the set.
Don't blame them. It's the company who gave them the masters you should be mad at.
I´m not mad at anyone because I didn´t plan on buying it in the first place.
As for the masters, there are better ones out there. I have the Hong Kong releases and while not perfect, they are better looking.
As for the extras, I have the UK HKL Platinum releases and they are stacked.
Shout accepted the masters and turned around and sold them as "High Definition."
Best case scenario Shout was given perfect masters and they totally screwed up the transfers. Worst case scenario they were given SD masters and unconverted them to "HD" themselves.
None of the suppose explanations, or anything in between, is acceptable as a consumer.

Man, I cannot wait for Dark Angel.
Yeah. I just received it in the mail and have it on the screen now. The picture looks fantastic! For all of the complaints I've read about the transfer being too dark, I just don't see it. So either you're the most anally retentive schmuck in the world to think that this is a travesty, or you have your picture settings completely wrong. There are way too many bad reviewers out there, and just because somebody has a blu ray player and 30 minutes of spare time to type up a review and post it online doesn't automatically mean they know jack about PQ.
I purchased my copy of The Fog, along with The Incredible Melting Man Tuesday. I was very impressed with the picture quality of TIMM, and I will be watching The Fog either today, or in the next several days, since my husband doesn't care for horror films or as he says to me "my dumb a** horror movies."
From Scream's Facebook:
"Calling all fans of NIGHTBREED!
Make sure you "Like" the new Fans of Nightbreed Facebook page for the latest developments and screenings on The Cabal Cut.
As far as our home video release, we don't have any details yet to report only that we have this tentatively and loosely scheduled for a Summer 2014 release so stay tuned!"
Power Rangers: Seasons 8-12
Power Rangers: Zeo Volume 1:
Anybody watch Fear City? Holy shit...totally awesome 80's sleazefest...fantastic score, lots of strippers, and one bizarre killer. I think that might be one of my favorite Shout! releases. Might even be one of my favorite Abel Ferrara flicks as well.
Sucks the Nightbreed BD is so far away, but I think the wait will be worth it. That release will probably rank amongst some of my favorite Shout! Factory releases...Halloween III, Lifeforce, Humanoids from the Deep, TerrorVision/The Video Dead...
Sounds cool, I'm going to check it out.
I agree the wait for Nightbeed is a bummer. I'm going to see the Cabal cut next week at its first Australian screening. I can't wait. I wonder if the BD with have both cuts of the film?
Oh, also ordered The Burning the other day! I should have gotten it ages ago but ImportCDs kept fucking up my order. Hopefully it gets to me this time.

So, did anyone get their recalled horror 4-pack yet? I was probably one of the last to order a copy. Really surprised that it finally shipped today after seeing the "shipping now" status for days.
Mine should be here sometime this week.
Got the set in today but haven't watched it yet.
According to the back "The Godsend" is anamorphic widescreen while it's listed as Full Frame on DVD aficionado.
