With Michael Caine. Anyone caught sight of it?
I've heard of it. If your looking for it, go to Amazon.com's used and new shop.
The Hand is Oliver Stone's first film I think.
It's available on Amazon.com which means it should still be in print...you can order it from blockbuster by filling out a request form and then buying it.
Can you link to it on Amazon - I can't find it....
I believe it's unreleased at this point in time. I saw it a long time ago and generally remember it to be quite good. Did you know that Stone cast Jon Voight, Dustin Hoffman and Christopher Walken in the lead role of the Hand but was turned down until Micheal Caine accepted.
Did not know that. However, what a deal! Caine is my favorite actor out of all those.
Damn - another disc to add to me NOT RELEASED list. I hate those
The Hand isn't released as far as I know. Its a damn fine movie too, I caught it every time it was on cable when I was a kid.
Good little rare thriller, I'd buy a widescreen release for sure. It also stars the underused Andrea "The Stuff" Marcovicci as Caine's wife, and Stone himself has a cameo as a drunk in an alley, quite a contrast to his current lifestyle.

Isn't it coming out as part of a 2 disc set? I remember hearing something about that.
According to Dave, Elite is releasing it as a 2 disc set with I Bury the Living.I'd link to it, but I'd probably just screw it up.
The Hand on the upcoming Elite disc is supposed to be the 1960 tale about some British prisoners of war who get their hand chopped off by the Japanese. The Hand with Michael Caine was made in 1981.
Besides, wasn't Oliver Stone's "The Hand" a Warner Bros production? I doubt Elite ever got the rights from Warners to release it.
Oops I didn't know there were 2 Hands.I just assumed it was the one from the 80's.Sorry:nervous:
Dude, we've ALL got two Hands.
I rented The Hand at my local video store, I liked it... but I doubt I would buy it if it ever came out on DVD since I doubt I would watch it a lot.
Jee-zus Cah-rist! I've received nothing but mostly crap for putting MANHUNTER in the Classics forum and here you're discussing a piece of shit like THE HAND?!:eek2: :fuck: :fire:
So what do you really think of it?
Isn't Manhunter in that new fangled color?
