I hate the title of that article. He was in hundreds of things spanning over six decades. Sigh.
Ah man, R.I.P.
Yeah, it is kind of a lame article plastered as mostly "Captain Spaulding" – he was certainly in a lot more than just that more recently known role.
I'm gonna give Devil's Rejects a spin tonight.
Sad news, I'd read recently he had had some kind of accident, but was getting better, shame. RIP
RIP Sid. Met him a few years ago at a convention and he, despite being a tad grumpy, was still very approachable and easy to talk to.
Very sad to read this morning. I met Sid a handful of times over the years at film conventions. He was always friendly & in good spirits except for the last time which was a little less than 3 months ago (last weekend in June) at Mad Monster Party Arizona. It was obvious Sid was not in good health, which is why he wasn't up for much talking. Attended several of his Q & A panels as well. Such a great guy on & offscreen. We will miss him dearly.
Shitty news indeed. RIP.
I also met him years ago at a con. He was very personable and I was so happy to meet him after years of being a fan.

RIP. They don't make them like that anymore.
That's sad. He looked surprisingly unwell in the promo stuff for 3 From Hell, so this doesn't come as a big surprise. He'll live on in our memories. RIP
The Variety article isn't much better in that regard: https://variety.com/2019/film/news/sid-haig-dead-dies-house-of-1000-corpses-1203345673/
An absolute favorite actor of mine. And still working late in his career so it's sad to see him go. I might buck the trend and watch his Batman episode as he's especially demented in that and always gives me a giant smile. The King Tut episodes are some of my favorites so to have him prominently in one of them is pure serendipity.
I'll give Spider Baby, another absolute favorite, a viewing in October. I always consider that the last classic monster movie and with him by Lon Chaney Jr.'s side I couldn't ask for anything more.
Now cracks a noble heart.—Good night, sweet prince,
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!
Any port in the fucking storm

A great actor who richly deserved his cult status. He never disappointed.Rest In Peace.
Defiantly sad, but it would be foolish of me to say I didn't see it coming. It seemed like he was in and out of the hospital more occasions than I could count in the last few years, factor in his generally unwell look within the last few months, it's not too much of a shock to hear of his passing. Most defiantly one of my favorite character actors and a one of a kind person. Rest easy Sid, you will be missed.
