Just realized THE KEEP is Paramount those are the Republic acquistions, so they may still have THE KEEP. Anyhow, here's an interview with OLIVE FILM'S, Frank Tarzi.
Highlander II? that just got a blu ray release a few years ago. better than it deserved, too. now it gets another? weird. if they wanna release some Russell Mulcahy, how about a blu ray of Razorback?
Yeah, not much on that list interests me. Perhaps Hangar 18, Ticks, and maybe a couple others. Good thing Lionsgate already put out Cujo and The Monster Squad on BD, no need to worry about those ones. And in regards to The Keep: I think if Olive had access to that one, they would've already released it. For whatever reason (maybe Michael Mann?), Paramount seems content to leave that particular title buried forever.
I'm guessing the extras won't be ported over, and I wouldn't be surprised if they use the same transfer that Lionsgate used. Quite a few of these may not be an upgrade to the existing Lionsgate Blu-Ray..
Dr. Terror's House of Horrors is the one I really want. Judging by the reviews, The Running Man could use a new Blu-ray release. Also interested in Hangar 18.
They can't top it. Olive doesn't do extras. Any release from Olive of THE MONSTER SQUAD would essentially be a downgrade since there's already a full-on SE Blu from Lionsgate. I really hope they don't waste valuable time and resources on this title when there are dozens of others that need attention.
I really hope Night of the Scarecrow happens. I haven't seen it since 1995/96 but I remeber enjoying it.
That's an impressive list, but I'm disappointed there are no 1940s horror titles there, such as The Phantom Speaks (1945), The Vampire’s Ghost (1945), The Catman of Paris (1946), and The Valley of the Zombies (1946).
Sweet: Cauldron of Blood Dr. Terror's House of Horrors Julius Caesar She Devil Ticks It'll be interesting to see what they do with Monster Squad and The Quiet Man which has long been released in terrible near bootleg quality.
TICKS (1993) will be hitting DVD & Blu-Ray either late this year or early next, and DR. TERROR'S HOUSE OF HORRORS (1965) is scheduled to wow us all summer of 2013.
It's great to hear that Dr. Terror's House Of Horrors and Hangar 18 will finally get decent releases in the U.S. Those two have been MIA for way too long.
