Somebody is getting their "Bogie" on.
I think Key Largo is my favorite of that bunch.
Well it was like $18.99 on Amazon, so I figured "Holy shit" and had to grab it. It normally runs for like $30+ online.
This weekend I piked up these two:
The Paul Naschy Collection
I haven't cracked the Naschy set yet--though I do own Vengeance of the Zombies already--but went straight into the Boardinghouse. Man, do I have awesome taste. The DVD is great; the film, well, it's an amusing time capsule of a special demographic: the low-rent cocaine lifestyle in the Los Angeles of the early eighties.
Rottweiler (2003, Brian Yunza)
Got these at a steal!
Public Enemy (1931, William A. Wellman)
White Heat (1949, Raoul Walsh)
Westworld (1973, Michael Crichton)
The Hanoi Hilton (1986, Lionel Chetwynd)
Scandal (1989, Michael Caton-Jones)
Chaplin (1992, Richard Attenborough)
I bought Criterion's new release of "Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom" (1975) Friday night and Barnes & Noble. I usually don't pay that much money for a DVD but this one was worth it, choc full of features and a 90 page booklet of essays plus the transfer is pristine.

Yeah, not Horror in the least, but... I recently ordered the Little House on the Prairie Complete Collection for just $107. Sixty discs total, and free UPS 3-day shipping.
I know that they are the TV edits and the video/audio quality varies, but that was just too cheap to pass up, especially for the three discs of new bonus material.
Oh yeah, I also got the Godfather restoration blu-ray set at Best Buy for only $39 after tax. They have it on sale for $41.99, and I used a $5 rewards certificate. It may only be on sale online, I'm not sure...but you can choose in store pick-up. Damned good deal!!!
Don't Go in the House (SS)
Ordered "Hausu" 70's asian sorta horror flick that is just way out there- had to get a bootleg because there is no R1 or any other release with english subtitles out there - hopefully an official R1 release comes someday
The Good, The Bad, The Weird
I am waiting for Boardinghouse to come in the mail. This past Friday I got these dvds for $2 apiece at Wal-Mart's Black Friday sale:
The Long Kiss Goodnight
End Of Days
Tenacious D: The Pick Of Destiny
Then, today I picked up Automaton Transfusion
As for my non Wal-Mart purchases:
On Sunday, I went to Best Buy and picked up a slew of TNA Wrestling dvds for $6 apiece since they're having a huge sale on selected titles until Dec. 20th or so.
This past Monday, I got:
I just picked up Izo haven't had a chance to watch it yet.
Stanley (Special Edition)
Scooby Doo, Where Are You? (Seasons 1 and 2)
Miracle on 34th Street
Elf (Have not seen it yet, but it was only five bucks).
Crypt of Terror: Cemetary of Terror and Grave Robbers
Trading Places (1983, John Landis)
Black Rain (1989, Ridley Scott)
Mad Dog Killer (1977, Sergio Grieco)
Chinatown (1974, Roman Polanski)
Nightflyers (1987, T.C. Blake)
Batman [Japan Import] (1989, Tim Burton)
I've heard this looks AMAZING in high-def.
To reiterate because I'm still so excited, Black Christmas on Blu-ray.
Classic Christmas Favorites Boxset
Fred Claus (Blu Ray)
Haven't cracked it open yet...pretty psyched for it. One of the best comedies ever made.
