As far as I understand, this leg of the tour will not have Claudio Simonetti, who is doing his own set of shows as Simonetti's Goblin or something. Here's their FB page:

    https://www.facebook.com/pages/Goblin-Claudio-Simonettis/608532229212354

I'm pretty sure they're the same as his band Daemonia, just playing under another name.

Glad I got to see Goblin during the first round with Simonetti included, but I may give 'em another go for this line-up. Too bad they couldn't have gotten all five together at once!

Ah yes, seems you are correct on that, the US dates are Goblin without Simonetti and the UK dates are "Simonetti's Goblin", edited title again!

Looking at your post, it appears the US dates you listed are the reformed Goblin minus Simonetti, and the European dates are Simonetti's "Goblin" where he's the only original member, haha.

SIMONETTI'S GOBLIN LIVE IN EUROPE 2014:
    February 23th - London - Electric Ballroom - UK
    February 24th - Brighton - Concorde 2 - UK
    February 25th - Bristol - The Fleece - UK
    February 26th - Manchester - Gorilla - UK
    February 27th - Glasgow - Oran Mor - UK
April 11th-Roadburn Festival 2014-Tilburg The Netherlands

"Claudio Simonetti's Goblin" will be touring the United States this fall, playing a live score to a screening of Suspiria, followed by an additional set of music. Can't find a full listing of tour dates, their Facebook page only lists Dallas and Seattle. But there's a San Diego stop (not on their FB page yet) that I already have tix for, so there's probably a lot more than they're listing at the moment.

I caught Goblin during their last tour in the States a few years back . They were at a club outside D.C. I was injured at the time and had told the management that I needed a hardback chair to sit in when I bought my tickets but when I arrived no chair had been made available. The management scrambled and came up with a solution that was unique and very cool. My friends and I were escorted into the risers and onto a catwalk where chairs were provided for us. We were directly above and to the right of the stage with the band just 10 ft. away from us. It was awesome !

The Claudio Simonetti's Goblin show back in 2014 was great, I'd definitely go again if there was another tour by either band here.

On a similar note ( ) John Carpenter has a tour in October, mostly in Europe but one date in LA.

Went to the Tempe, AZ show tonight. This was the first time seeing anyone from Goblin perform in person. Suspiria with the live score was spectacular! It was like breathing new life into one of my favorite films ever.

Afterwards, they did another set. Each track was represented with video clips from the films (except for one which I didn't recognize).

    As for the rest:

    Mother of Tears
    Demons
Dawn of the Dead (three tracks total)
    Tenebre
    Phenomena
    Profondo Rosso

Claudio paid tribute to George Romero before playing the music from Dawn of the Dead. It was a great show! So glad we went.

A friend and I are going to the Oakland show this Saturday. Originally, there was only one show on the previous night, but it sold out in a hurry so I second show was added. I've had to miss the other Goblin tours, John Carpenter, and Killing Joke recently, so I'm pretty stoked.

Going to the San Diego show tonight. Not sold out yet, can you believe that?

So, I went to this last night. It's everything you can imagine, and not to be missed. Claudio is a little sick, however (he blames all the A/C in America...but he just came from Arizona. You literally DIE in Arizona without A/C).

The post-Suspiria set was the same as S-S posted above, with the exception of Tenebrae. There was a song that did not appear to be film related, as the video backdrop only included random images, mostly of a UPC Code. Phenomena and Demons were the highlight of the set for me.

Now the bad. I'd assumed they had a copy of Suspiria with the music track removed. This was not the case. They were literally playing on top of the existing soundtrack. And it appeared that the film soundtrack was turned up excessively loud, effectively drowning out the on-stage musicians. There were times I could not tell if it was Simonetti, or the film soundtrack we were hearing. So that was a bit disappointing. I definitely enjoyed the post-Suspiria performance more. Also, if you're going, bring lots of money for merch. It's cash-only, and pretty expensive. I got a late start and barely made it on time, no chance to hit the ATM. Probably for the better. Film soundtracks on vinyl were going for $35.

That is a laughable claim regarding Arizona in November. If Claudio is currently under the weather, it's most likely from all of the travel and busy schedule.

Well, the Arizona reference comes from me. But you're right, I've never been there in November. Every other time I've been there, usually in spring, it's still stifling hot.

But Claudio definitely blamed A/C for his sickness.

Temperatures always cool off here in October. That's when most part-year residents (snowbirds) move back to Arizona. They typically start leaving in April.

Sorry to hear that Claudio got sick. He seemed fine Tuesday night at our show.
