This poll needs a overhaul, lots of good stuff missing. btw, welcome back Cujo
^ Thanks. I've been posting elsewhere, but a friend suggested I come back, so I figured what the hell. It's good seeing you again.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, worst TV film of the 70's would be The Spell. I loathed the characters in that one to the point of hating the movie.
By the way, have you seen Mysterious Two? If not, I highly recommend it. It's on YouTube.
Never seen but I remember this title from video rental days. Didn't really appeal to me back then, but it looks like I might have missed out. Thanks for the recommendation.
Duel got my vote but I will admit to not having seen most of these.
Home for the Holidays (1972)
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (1973)
The are a lot of fond childhood memories on that list. The Zuni fetish doll story in Tales of Terror scared the living crap out of me, but my actual favorite would probably be Gargoyles. Another one of my favorites missing from the list is A Cold Night's Death (1973). I've got a crappy bootleg, but I'd love to see it get a decent release.
I haven’t seen the Spell, but I remember being suitably unimpressed by Killdozer.
I chose Salem’s Lot, but technically I shouldn’t have because it wasn’t a TV movie it was a miniseries. Probably should have chosen Kolchak instead.
Wow, that was so long ago, I have since bought that bootleg, then the real edition. Great movie.
For the record, I've purchased 4 bootleg movies over the years: Bad Ronald, Urgh! A Music War, The Decline of Western Civilization, and The Poughkeepsie Tapes.
I repurchased three of them when official releases came out, and someday I'll buy the official release of The Poughkeepsie Tapes too.
