Carl Fullerton did have all the uncut gore and death scenes from Friday the 13th part 2 at one time...

That's odd about the aspect ratio change but it's not the first time I've heard of the issue with this particular film. Did the Laserdisc or some other release also undergo an AR change after the credits? Or am I confusing it with early VHS editions that showed the credit sequences in 2.35:1 but the rest of the film was full frame?

The change in ratio, is typical for some HDTV transfers.
So I guess they got lazy and used that, instead of making a new one.

Edit: I'm gonna check my HDTV rip, and see if it changes ratio as well.

The aspect ratio doesn't change on my HD rip. It's 2.35:1 throughout from beginning to end.

I was wrong, the HD rip I got, wasn't from HDTV, it´s from Itunes, and it's also in 2.35:1 throughout.

The opening credits on the VHS were fullscreen, because I remember being stunned the first time I saw the DVD and the dragged mannequin knocks the frame open into 2.35:1.

The film has a full frame section at the beginning and then the credits rolls in widescreen, thats the way its supposed to be.. but this blu starts with the full frame section then goes to correct widescreen for credits then wrong widescreen ratio for the rest

Yeah, I figured it was inevitably coming soon from Shout due to their recent Paramount license. Yet another reason to not have jumped on this Australian crap release.

Cool about the Shout release. I'd be a bit more excited if this was from Arrow but at least this release should be better than the Aussie one.

cool, I traded my copy back in and ended up paying the equivalent of a rental fee to watch the film. At the very least scream will have the correct aspect ratio and some special features but ill probably wait for arrow or someone
